Sue Smith - Learning Support Assistant Rainbow I
Sue Smith is an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who has
been with Rainbow since its inception in September 2005. Sue works with all the children in Rainbow I, as a dedicated Learning Support Assistant, when additional support is needed. Before this she worked as a nursery assistant and as LSA and classroom assistant in a mainstream class. Having a child who attends the John Adkins Centre at ERS, she has a specific interest in speech, language and learning difficulties. | ![]() |
Sue completed a six week course at Westfield Training School for children with specific learning difficulties, and recently completed an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant course. This covered all areas of children’s learning with particular emphasis on helping children with social interaction and communication difficulties and learning difficulties. She is a competent Makaton user and is currently attending an evening course in British Sign Language
