Jane Sadler is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Health Professionals Council, and has a Cert Ed and MPhil (Speech) degree.  She trained as a SLT after working for 15 years as a teacher, having seen the critical role speech, language and communication play in the social, emotional and cognitive development of her pupils.

These years as a university lecturer have been interspersed with periods when Jane returned to the ‘grass roots’, working as peripatetic SLT in mainstream primary schools  in  New  Zealand, and as Key Stage 3 SLT at  an I CAN specialist language school, where she had responsibility also for literacy development throughout the school.

Over the years, Jane has attended numerous short courses and workshops (e.g. on Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Dyspraxia, Swallowing Disorders, Dyslexia, Specific Language Impairment, Metaphon, Hannon, Derbyshire Language Scheme, Lidcombe Dysfluency Programme).
